John Francis "Jack" Hansen

It is with sadness the family of Jack Hansen announce his peaceful passing which occurred on Monday May 3, 2021 at Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Saint John September 5, 1943 he was the son of the late Leo and Grace (Hetherington) Hansen. Jack was a machine operator working for Baxter Foods for many years retiring in 2006. A member of the Big Salmon River Angling Association. He enjoyed bowling with the “Happy Gang”, Bingo, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend those who knew and loved Jack will miss him forever.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 51 years Marie (Ring) Hansen of Saint John; son John Hansen (Jennifer) of Grand Bay-Westfield; daughter Heather Richard (Leo) of Saint John; precious grandchildren Stephen Richard (Haley), Ashley Richard (Justin), Shayla Hansen (Matthew) and Evyn Hansen (Bridgette); great-grandchildren Emerson Laurie, Huxley Richard and one on the way for September around Jack’s birthday. He is survived by siblings Doug (Sheila), Sandy (Heather), Ann Marie Grant (Dennis), Theresa Hayward (Ken), Gwen Hansen (Steve) and Heather Stewart; special nephew Steven Falzon; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and friends. Along with his parents, Jack was predeceased by his brothers Victor, Ronnie and Bobbie and sisters Donna and Sandra and sister in-law Patricia Pade (Robert)

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road with visitation on Friday May 7th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday May 13th at 2:30 p.m. Due to the current pandemic and public health restrictions seating is limited. Friends are asked to RVSP by calling 646-2424.
