John Edward Thomas

It is with broken hearts the family of John Edward Thomas, announce his passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday February 16, 2023. Born in Saint John February of 1955, he was the son of the late William and Juanita (Pyne) Thomas. A member of Local #900 Labour Union and has worked construction for years, retiring in 2019.

John was a man who loved hunting and fishing, but most of all spending time with family and friends and cracking a cold one in the garage. Those who knew and loved him will miss forever.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda (Brown) Thomas; children Lesley Day (Brad), John Thomas Jr. and Jillian Thomas; precious grandchildren who love their Papa; Brad, Lincoln, Mackenzie, Jaden, Jayce and Jacob; brothers and sisters Alan Thomas, Ann Marie Stanley (Irvine), Jeanette Shatford, Truman Thomas and Billy Thomas; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with his parents, John was predeceased by his brother Roy Thomas; his sister and her husband, Shirley and Bill Bawn and sister-in-law Debbie Thomas.

As per John’s request no visitation or service will be held at this time. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
