John Henry Searle

It is with broken hearts that the family of John Henry Searle announce his passing on September 4, 2021 at Bobby’s Hospice.  Born in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late Laura Searle (Reilly).  He worked as a machinist at Fred Williams’ Machine Shop and the Saint John Iron Works before his retirement.  John is survived by his loving wife Molly Searle (Joyce); his children:  Elaine DeLong (Gary) of Browns Flat, NB, John Henry Searle (Deb) of Miscouche, PE, Stephen Searle of Saint John, NB,  and Wendy Searle of Red Head, NB; grandchildren:  Wendy Matheson (Donnie), Melissa DeLong, Lisa Jones, Heather Searle, Alana Searle (Mike Welke), Katherine Searle, Christopher Searle & Matthew Searle; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; his good friend Rick Dashwood; as well as by many other extended family members and friends.  As well as by his mother, John was predeceased by his son Richard Searle; brothers:  Bill Searle and Clifford Searle; and his sister Josephine LeValliant.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).  As per John’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time.  Donations to Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated.  Online condolences are available at:  www.fundyfuneralhome.com
