It is with broken hearts that the family of John Henry Searle announce his passing on September 4, 2021 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late Laura Searle (Reilly). He worked as a machinist at Fred Williams’ Machine Shop and the Saint John Iron Works before his retirement. John is survived by his loving wife Molly Searle (Joyce); his children: Elaine DeLong (Gary) of Browns Flat, NB, John Henry Searle (Deb) of Miscouche, PE, Stephen Searle of Saint John, NB, and Wendy Searle of Red Head, NB; grandchildren: Wendy Matheson (Donnie), Melissa DeLong, Lisa Jones, Heather Searle, Alana Searle (Mike Welke), Katherine Searle, Christopher Searle & Matthew Searle; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; his good friend Rick Dashwood; as well as by many other extended family members and friends. As well as by his mother, John was predeceased by his son Richard Searle; brothers: Bill Searle and Clifford Searle; and his sister Josephine LeValliant. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). As per John’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
