John Eric Phinney

We are saddened to announce the passing of John Eric Phinney which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 following a short illness. He was born on November 26, 1954 in Moncton, New Brunswick.

The majority of John’s working career was spent with WorkSafe NB.

He is survived by his brothers, Rob (Brenda) Phinney, Brian (Patti) Phinney along with his sisters; Dianne (David) Stephen and Kathy Phinney (the late Mark Earle).  Also, 7 nieces and nephews.

John is predeceased by his parents Dempsey and Gertrude (Hooley) Phinney along with his nephew Keith Stephen.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation will take place and private family services will take place at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made to Bobby’s Hospice or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
