It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of John Calvin Noddin, which occurred at Ridgewood Veterans Wing on Tuesday, September 27th, 2022. Born 1937, in Saint John, he is the son of the late Donald and Elaine (Gallant) Noddin. John was a School Teacher at St. Rose School for 34 years. He continued to work as a supply teacher which he greatly enjoyed. In his earlier years, John joined the Reserves and was also a Scout Leader. He was on the Parish Council at St. Rose Church and was a member of Knights of Columbus and Kiwanis. He was an NBTA Executive Member, a Choir Director and Legion Branch 69 Member. John was also a member of the SJ Art Club and Multi-Cultural Society. He was an avid crib player with his son-in-law Ron and he especially loved teaching and being with the kids. John will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
John is survived by his loving and devoted wife Murielle (Belliveau) of 42 years; children Kathryn Noddin of Vancouver, BC, Peter Noddin (Cait) of Saint John, Tony Noddin of Brisbane, Australia, Debbie King (Ron) of Saint John, Andrew Noddin (Sarah) of Milton, ON,; half-brother Ted Riley of Ontario; grandchildren Paige, Alexis and Juniper; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Along with his parents, John was predeceased by his brothers Donald and David.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with a private Graveside Service taking place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of John may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
