It is with heavy hearts the family of John Frederick Beyea, husband of Margit (Carlson) Beyea announces his passing which occurred on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, with his wife at his side. Born in Hampton, NB on September 25, 1931 he was the son of the late William and Jessie (Fraser) Beyea. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Joan (Beckwith) Beyea; son Grant Beyea; brother Bert Beyea; brothers-in-law Ted Chestnut, Ed Beckwith and Ozzie Saunders; sisters-in-law Joyce Beyea, Josie Beyea and Bertha Beyea.
John worked for Irving Oil and became the owner/operator of Beyea Fuels for over 50 years.
He was member of the Hampton Golf Club and loved to golf with his brothers and in the fall they enjoyed hunting. John loved to be at the camp with family and friends. When his sons were old enough they were right there with him. There were lots of good family times spent at Nut Hill.
He is survived by his children Gary (Dolly), Gail Ebbett (David) and Graham; daughter-in-law Pam Beyea (Del); grandchildren Nicole (Brian), John Ross (Terri), Jennifer (Chris), Lindsay (Rob), Jesse (Jenny) and Jake (Becky); ten great grandchildren Elizabeth, Sean, Olivia, Payten, Landen, Evan, Colson, Oliver, Lucas and Lexi; brother Jim Beyea; sisters Connie Chestnut, Beatrice Beckwith, Doreen Saunders, Judy Kellar and Linda Silliphant (Bill); several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current pandemic, a celebration of life will be held in the spring.
Remembrances in memory of John may be made to the Salvation Army.
