John Maxwell Clive

The family of John Maxwell Clive invites you to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) for a celebration of his life on Friday, July 17th beginning at 2:00PM followed by the memorial service at 3:00PM. In following Public Health Protocols, seating will be limited by a first come first serve basis up to 100 attendees in order to maintain and practice social distancing.  A gathering will take place at the family home, following the celebration of life at 107 Brookview Crescent, Saint John, NB, E2M 4L2.

With sadness, we announce the passing of John Maxwell Clive, loving husband of Kelly (Clawson) Clive which occurred at his residence on Thursday, April 2, 2020 following a valiant battle with cancer. He was born in Saint John on November 9, 1961 to the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Suley) Clive.

John worked alongside his father as an Oil Tank Installer by trade. Following this, he worked as a dispatcher with Vets Taxi. Above all, the most important thing in John’s life was his family, especially his children. He enjoyed time spent on home renovations, playing poker and pool and was a talented woodworker.

Along with his wife Kelly, he is survived by his children: Marie (Scott) McIvor, Jonathan (Brittany), Terry (Charles) Tompkins, Taylor, Camryn, Spencer and Jaden. He is also survived by his brothers: Stephen, David, Michael, William and sister, Dale Bonnell. John will also be remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his sister in-law Tammy Sudsbear.

Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Due to the global pandemic, a Celebration of John’s life will take place at the Fundy Chapel at a later date.
