John William Aspen

With heavy hearts, the family of John Aspen announces his passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 21, 2020. John was born in Saint John on January 10, 1939; a son of the late Hugh and Marjorie (Kerr) Aspen, and the loving husband of the late Zelia Aspen. John worked for Lantic Sugar, and had served in the Navy as well. Surviving are his sons John (Shirley), David (Kim), Tommy (Geina), and Jamie (Tara); daughter Tammy O’Brien (Dorn), sisters Barb Flecknell and Sandra Melanson, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, John was pre-deceased by his brothers Tim and Thomas Hugh Aspen. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
