John Christopher James Adey

It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Adey Jr. announces his unexpected passing at his home on August 31, 2025.

John was a devoted husband for 37 years to his wife Debra Adey (nee. Warner)

Born in Saint John, NB on November 26, 1965, he was a son of John Sr. and Mary (nee. Picco) Adey.

A true family man, John will be forever missed by his wife Debra; daughter Samantha; two grandchildren Caleb and Tessa; three sisters: Dawn, Margie (Darrel), and Judith (Winston); sister-in-law Eleanor and Dianne (David); brother-in-law Brian (Diane); as well as several nieces and nephews.

John was predeceased by his brother Mark, and his niece Alexis

John worked at the Saint John drydock as a Steel Fabricator for some time. Later in life he became a crane operator for multiple different companies.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB E2J 2G3; (506) 646-2424. Visitation for John will be on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will directly follow beginning at 5:00 PM in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel.
