Joan Noreen LaForest

It is with heavy hearts the family of Joan Noreen LaForest announces her passing at the Loch Lomond Villa on October 24, 2025, at the age of 78 years old. Born in McAdam NB, she was the beloved daughter of the late Raymond and Elsie Leslie.

Joan was a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Royal Legion Branch #53 where she made lifelong friends and loved being part of the community. She enjoyed bowling and darts, always ready for a laugh and a bit of friendly competition. Joan was always ready to cut a rug with her husband Roger or any other dance partner who could keep up. She could often be found with knitting needles in hand, creating something special for her family. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her grandchildren, whose lives she filled with love, fun and cherished memories. She had a heart of gold who touched everyone who knew her, her laughter and kindness will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She will be sadly missed by all who loved her, especially her sons, Raymond (Laura) and Steven (Tania); her daughter, Denise (Rick); her grandchildren, Alex, Ethan, Addison, Ryan, Ricky and Robyn; great grandchildren Kaiden and River; and two brothers, Larry and David. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Roger, her parents, Raymond and Elsie, as well as her sister Donna.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). As per the family's wishes there will be no funeral service. Donations can be made to Bobby's Hospice or the Loch Lomond Villa Cedar House.
