Jeffrey Carl Cronkhite

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jeffrey Carl Cronkhite announce his passing on October 21, 2025, at Shannex – Embassy Hall, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Woodstock, NB, on January 16, 1966, to Shirley (Thornton) Kinney and the late Richard Carl Cronkhite.

Jeffrey was very technical and adept at working with computers and turned that interest into a profession, working with various companies over the years in Tech Support positions.  He was the families resident IT genius, but as easy as computers were for him to understand, they were hard for him to explain so he usually just ended up telling his family members that he’d fix it the next time he was over.  He was a funny guy with a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.  He was very involved in Army Cadets and the Militia.  Jeffrey loved the color purple.  For anything and everything, he loved it to be purple.  He was very interested in the goings on of his family and never shied away from asking them about their days or what was happening currently in their lives.  With his sense of humor, he was the fun uncle, and he was always very sentimental when his family would give him a gift.  He loved to host Friday night gatherings and would take care to provide all the food and fun needed.  Jeffrey was a character and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

In addition to his mother, Shirley, he is survived by his brother, Gordon (Alisha) Cronkite; his 4 sisters, Michelle Petite, Angie (Rob) Meagher, and Leah and Amanda Cronkite; as well as his nieces and nephews, Andrew, Joshua, Gabrielle, Beckett and Ozma; as well as many cousins and friends.  He was predeceased by his father and his grandparents. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424).  In keeping with Jeff’s wishes, cremation will occur.  Services will be held at a later date.  For those who wish, memorial donations in his memory to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
