It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jeannie Murphy announce her passing which occurred on Sunday, October 10th, 2021 at the Loch Lomond Village. Born 1939, in Hull, QC, she was the daughter of the late Horace Rene and Rita (Carriere) Viau. Jeannie had been a long time employee of Fundy Linen and loved to bake and pick blueberries with Libby, George and Aunt Doreen. She was very outgoing, always smiling and laughing and she loved listening to music and playing bingo.
Jeannie is survived by her son Bill (Pam) of Saint John; daughters Lisa of Dalhousie, N.B. Tammy (Dale) of Charlotte County; brothers Richard (Inge) of Kingston, ON., Moe Viau (Moira) of St. Catharines, ON., Rene (Debbie) of Lansdowne, ON.; sister Aline of Kingston, ON; 7 grandchildren Matthew, Geoffrey, Alicia, Stephanie, John Kevin, Shannon and Austin; 5 great-grandchildren Dylan, Chloe, Trinity, Delilah and Ellie; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Jeannette was predeceased by her husband George and her sisters Theresa and Denise.
The family would like to thank the staff of Loch Lomond Village-Willow House for the love and care they provided to Jeannie. A special thank you to her “partner in crime” Sherry Cooper (you always made her laugh!).
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). As per Jeannie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
