James "Jim" Frederick Jones

It is with broken hearts the family of James “Jim” Frederick Jones wish to announce his passing which occurred on May 7, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, July 14, 1961, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Verna (Howe) Jones.

Jim is survived by his loving spouse Jackie Turner, his sons, Mark (Sarah) and Scott (Marlisa), his stepdaughters, Amelia Bailey (Kurtis) & Heather Bailey (Brent), sisters, Fran Rogers (Kevin) & Donna Finnigan (Pat), grandchildren; Riley, Lily, Alexis, Tanner, Jace and Casey, along with nieces, Laura, Chelsea, Tara and nephews, Jeffery, and Kyle.

He was predeceased by his sister Gail Jones, and his best friend Doug Wetmore.

Jim was a Professional Engineer and most recently worked as a private consultant. He loved taking his grand-pup Ace for walks on the beach, and spending quality time with his grandchildren. He was a big Habs fan, and enjoyed talking about hockey, the stock market, politics, and the latest projects he had on the go at home and at work.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506) 646-2424. At his request, following cremation, there will be a private family gathering followed with interment at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
