He got the last word….best fish catch of the season. Now the poles are put away, the shovels are still, and the tackle is set aside. James (Jim) Christopher Hickie, born June 1, 1980, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, passed May 25 doing what he loved best; reminding people how talented he was with a hook.
Jim was an extraordinarily hard worker, yet even more so, he was a gifted and passionate naturalist. His skill with a bow was legendary. All who knew Jim could be sure to be captivated by his ideas on the world. The people close to him loved him dearly.
Jim is survived by his life partner and fiancé, Jamie Craig; son, William (Bill) Lyndsay; Stepdaughters Jessica Hearn and Kelly Bechdel; parents, Tom and Pam Hickie; siblings, Will and Jessica Hickie; nieces, Abigail Hicks and Alice Hickie; and nephews, Judas and Callum Hicks, and John Hickie. Also survived by many special friends, aunts, uncles, and several cousins, including Shayne Parker.
