Our family is saddened to announce the passing of James Govereau, husband of the late Doreen M. Govereau, which occurred at the Kennebec Manor on Monday, March 20, 2023. Born in Newcastle, N.B. he was the son of the late Henry and Mary (Malley) Govereau.
James worked as a Truck Driver and was employed for many years with Crangles Collision Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
James is survived by his 3 sons; Robert (Marlene), David (Anne) and Wayne Govereau along with 5 daughters; Pamela, Judy (Wayne), Sandy (Gus), Ann and Debbie (Doug). He is also remembered by his siblings; John (Louise), Edmond and Rose, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to Doreen and his parents, James is predeceased by his grandson Ryan McLaughlin along with his siblings; Willie, Walter, Elizabeth, Freda, Leona, Irene, Maria, Jean and Christine.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 23, 2023 between the hours of 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, March 24th at 9:30 AM from the Fundy Chapel. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
