James Everett Ellis

It is with broken hearts that the family of James Everett Ellis announces his passing on March 30, 2026, at the Sussex Health Center. Born in Saint John, NB on December 12, 1935, he was a son of the late James and Mildred (nee. Marr) Ellis.

James is survived by his two loving children Brenda (John) Major and James Jr. (Karen) Ellis; his 5 beloved grandchildren: Becky, Kerri, Eric, Tyler, and Tiffany; 8 great-grandchildren: Joseph, Emma, Aubrey, Cameron, Jamison, Everett, Lennon, and James; brothers Ronnie (Diane) and Cecile Ellis; sisters: Joan Seepman, Lois (Gordon) Miller, Linda (David) Carlson, and Joyce (Doug) Henderson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents James was predeceased by his wife Francis Gertrude (nee. Golding) Ellis, son Richard Ellis, and brothers Kenny and Geroge Ellis.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB E2J 2G3; (506) 646-2424. Visitation for James will on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Following the service, the family invites you to join them for a time of light refreshments in the Fundy Funeral Home Reception Center.
