James Robert Alexander Alison

The peaceful passing of James Robert Alexander Alison occurred at the Rocmaura Nursing Home on June 14, 2022.  Born in Dornoch, Scotland, he was a son of the late James & Isabella (Milliam) Alison.  Jim was the husband of 62 years to the late Eileen Alison who passed away in 2015.

Jim loved his family and cherished the time spent with them.  He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed playing games (and occasionally cheating).  A self-educated man, he was certainly a worthy opponent playing Trivial Pursuit.  He also enjoyed music, dancing, and watching CNN.

Jim is survived by his daughter Evelyn O’Donnell (Doug), Quispamsis; his son Rick Alison’s partner Greta Giberson, Fredericton; his grandchildren, Matthew O’Donnell (Lisa-Dawn), Fredericton; Victoria Green (Nick), Stanley; Brandon Alison (Celina), Fredericton; Kaleigh Alison, Fredericton; Katelyn Alison, Saint John; Kymber Alison (Kyle), Fredericton, Austin Alison; his great-grandchildren Jessie-Lynn, Marissa, Ashton, Isabella, Chase, Brodie, Zoey, Leah, Mason, Douglas, Alaina,  Jace, and Paige; his sister-in-law Carol Alison, sussex; his nieces and nephews in Canada, Scotland, Ireland, and Malaysia; and by his special friends:  David, Linda, and Christopher Carlson.

Besides his parents and wife, Jim was predeceased by his son Rick, his brother George; and his sisters:  Evelyn, Ray, and Anne.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 31 Gondola Point Road, Rothesay on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 11 a.m. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, remembrances in memory of Jim may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Building Fund, the Rocmaura Nursing home or War Amps would be appreciated by the family.  www.fundyfuneralhome.com
