Ivon Joseph Gaudet Sr.

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ivon Joseph Gaudet Sr., who passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

Born in Rogersville on August 28, 1950, he was the son of the late Guillaume and Alice (Gallant) Gaudet. Ivon was a skilled Project Estimator and a talented Draftsman. He worked many years for Bird Construction, where he remained until his retirement. Ivon had a lifelong love for carving and drawing houses—hobbies that reflected his creative spirit and deep appreciation for craftsmanship.

He is survived by his sons Ivon Gaudet (“Little Ivon”) (Sheri Plume) and Craig Gaudet (Lauren); grandchildren Nicholas, Zachary, Joshuah, Issac (Riley), Noah, and Samson; and two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Grayson. He is also survived by his brother Danny Gaudet (Doris), and sisters Claudette Doiron (Paul) and Patrcia Phyper; step sister Rita McCaie (Jean Paul) as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ivon was predeceased by his brother, Ronnie Gaudet.

As per Ivon’s wishes, cremation will take place. A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Saturday June 28th at 10:00 a.m. Procession leaving Fundy Funeral Home at 9:55 a.m. to process to St. Joseph's Cemetery. 

Donations in Ivon’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
