Ian Shane Warman

Ian Shane Warman, born September 25th, 1955, passed away peacefully at home just as the sun was coming up, surrounded by his family with his daughter Erica by his side. Ian was a force to be reckoned with and a man with a heart as big as his talent. He lived his full life as a crane operator, working from age sixteen until the year 2000 when he was in his forties. He was part of Local # 963 Crane and Heavy Equipment Operating Engineers and helped build the Confederation Bridge to PEI and many other projects and worked for Irving in his earlier years. He was an amazing guitar player whose music touched everyone who heard it, sang at weddings, and won contests on two local radio stations. Beyond music, Ian loved nature, studied martial arts, and had a gift for standing up to bullies while always making friends with everyone he met. He had a deep compassion for the homeless, was very close to and loved his mother dearly, and lived his faith in the Lord every day. He was honest about his struggles too. He was a heavy drinker for many years, found sobriety through AA, and cherished the years he got to enjoy sober with his grandchildren. He loved teaching Erica how to drive, how to approach people with kindness, and how to live with a good heart. He is survived by his daughter Erica and his grandchildren, and was looking forward to meeting his great grandchild, Summer Keleher’s baby due October twenty seventh. Ian passed that faith on to his daughter, and she will pass everything he gave her down to her grandchildren.

Ian is survived by his daughters Erica Keleher (Tim Hooley) and Sarah Sweet; sister Bonney Hosford; precious grandchildren Summer Rose, Carson Timothy Christopher, Briella Joyce and Selah; as well as a new great grandbaby on the way; nephew Dillon Warman and great nephew Trent; cousin Wendy Paley of Ontario and many friends.

He was predeceased by his mother Joyce Pasero stepfather Carmen Pasero, father Nathan Wallace Warman and his brother Nathan Owen Warman.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) Services are pending currently.   Services will be announced within the coming days. The family will be inviting anyone who knew Ian to come and share stories.
