Hilma Jeanne Teresa (Cannon) Tracey

It is with the saddest of hearts our family announce the passing of our dearest mother on Friday April 9, 2021 at the Regional Hospital.  Hilma Jeanne Teresa (Cannon) Tracey, born May 18, 1928 in Charlottetown, PEI, daughter of the late Claire (Croken) and Milton Cannon.  An angel loaned to us and now called back to Heaven.  Mother Goose was predeceased by her one love and husband Donald Francis Tracey; brothers and sisters:  Vivian, Joseph, Phyllis, Elizabeth, Dorothy and Patrick.  Survived by siblings:  Charles (Joan) Cannon, Adera (Wintford) Garron, and Wendell (Betty) Cannon; children:  Wayne Tracey, Donalda (Marcello) Burri, Darlene Nadine Frances Tracey; grandchildren:  Daniel, Joshua, Tracey, Christina, Kyle, and Isaiah; great-grandchild Arianna; as well as many, many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends. 

Mother was the keeper of the family archive for all who needed the birthday, anniversary, or any relevant date; a memory second to none.  The bestower of love and caring to all that needed it, always with the time to listen.  The door was always open, the table was always set, and a bed was always available.  No one can fill your place, your life was love for your family, you did your best for us all and we will always remember you.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).  Due to COVID-19, a service honouring her life will be held on a future date.  Donations in Hilma’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
