Hilda B. (Gill) Mills

Hilda B. (Gill) Mills, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2015 at her residence. Born 1931 in Devon, NB she was the daughter of the late Willard and Annie (Jones) Gill. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her former husband Donald Mills; brothers Arlington “Bud” Gill and Merville A. Gill; sister Elaine Babineau and brother-in-law David Driscoll.

She is survived by her sisters Geraldine “Gerri” Driscoll, Doreen Boyer (Richard) and Judith “Judy” Jackson (Robert); sister-in-law Gert Gill; brother-in-law Ronald Babineau; uncles Jack Brandwood and Hazen Jones (Robina); her feline companion Misty; and several nieces and nephews.

Hilda had worked in the office for Anges Miller Insurance and Acme Construction. She worked for the past 29 years at the door at Rhoda’s Flea Market. She will be greatly missed by Joe and Rhoda Boyce and their daughter Colleen and many friends and acquaintances at the market.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, Saint John (646-2424). A memorial service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. with visitations one hour prior to service.  A private family interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.

Remembrances in memory of Hilda may be made to SPCA Animal Rescue or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
