Henry Richard Hasselman

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Richard Hasselman on January 19, 2023 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Henry and Eva (MacDonald) Hasselman.  Henry was a master at tinkering, a real-life MacGyver; he took great joy in fixing and fabricating.  He loved life, and being outdoors, hunting and fishing.  He had a wicked sense of humour.  Above all, Henry cherished his family, and time spent with them was the most special time of all.  He will be greatly missed by his wife Jennifer Hennessy Hasselman; his sons:  Jason Hasselman of Alberta and Christopher (Kimberley) Hasselman of Ontario; his sisters:  Wanita Geldart of Grand Bay-Westfield and Linda Thorne of Saint John; his grandchildren:  Alissah Marie, Hayden, and Cody; the many who referred to him as Uncle Henry; as well as by many extended family members and good friends.  Besides his parents, Henry was predeceased by his sister Vivian Taylor.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).  A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday January 23, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel.  No flowers by request.  Donations to the Saint John Animal Rescue League would be appreciated by the family.  Henry’s family wish to thank Extra-Mural for the fantastic care they gave to Henry, with a special thank-you to Rhonda.
