Helen Verna (Wallace) Allen

It is with heavy hearts, the family of Helen Verna (Wallace) Allen announces her sudden passing which occurred on Thursday, January 17, 2019. Born July 15, 1931 in Saint John, NB she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (LeBlanc) Wallace. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Stewart Allen in 2014; sister Emma (Penny) Williams; brothers Charles, Gerald, William, Joseph, Leonard and Norman Wallace.

Helen was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She worked for K-Mart for many years. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family and she loved baking them all cakes for their birthdays. Helen was a very kind, generous, faithful and religious woman who loved her church. She will be deeply missed by everyone.

She is lovingly remembered by her son Roy Allen (Geraldine); daughters Mary Limkilde (Gary), Rose White (Kevin) and Cindy Schousboe (John); cherished grandchildren Heather, Laura (Craig) and Andrea Limkilde, Jennifer and David White, Andrew and Catherine Schousboe; great grandchildren Matthew, Julia, Gregor and Caitlin; brothers Leo Wallace, Arthur Wallace (Marie) and Donald Wallace (Shirley); sisters Gladys Williams , Alice Wallace and Shirley Ann Daigle (Paul); she will also be sadly missed by Florence (Allen) Stymiest; several nieces and nephews.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Monday, January 21 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Spirit Parish (St. Rose Worship Site) on Tuesday, January 22 at 11 am. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Remembrances in memory of Helen may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
