Our hearts are broken to announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather Hazen George Middleton, who peacefully went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, October 19th, 2023 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 1, 1944 in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late George and Bernice Middleton.

Hazen will be remembered as a jack of all trades and was a skilled crack filler and a talented painter. Over the years, he specialized in computer technology and worked for Radio Shack along with the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield.

A man of few words, Hazen showed his love through acts of kindness and good deeds. He was a family man who will be forever missed and remembered by all who knew him.

Hazen is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Jane Middleton along with their daughter Joy Durdan (Edward) and grandson Jacob. He is also survived by his brother Stephen Middleton and sister Janet Middleton.

In addition to his parents, Hazen was predeceased by his sister in-law Melody Middleton.

The family invites friends to gather at Grand Bay Baptist Church (77 Woolastook Drive, Grand Bay-Westfield) on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 between 6-8 PM for a time of remembrance and fellowship.

A service celebrating Hazen’s life will be held at the church on Wednesday, October 25th at 2:00 PM, followed by a reception.

Memorial donations in Hazen’s memory can be made towards the IWK Childrens Foundation or Grand Bay Baptist Church.
