It is with profound sadness that the family of Hayley Clare Winter announces her passing on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on January 4, 1980, Hayley was the cherished daughter of Charlene (Hebert) Keyes and the late Clarence (Clare) Keyes.
Hayley will be deeply missed by her husband Troy Winter, her two children Lyndsey and Corey Winter. Also left to mourn her loss is her mother Charlene (Hebert) Keyes and her brother Todd Keyes (Amanda) and her 6 little fur babies
A devoted mother, Hayley chose to stay home with her children during their early years, creating a warm and loving environment. Once her youngest, Corey, started school, Hayley pursued her education and later graduated from college. She went on to begin a meaningful career with the Canadian Red Cross, where her caring nature and strong sense of community truly shone.
Hayley's life revolved around her family, and her children were her greatest pride and joy. She was a dedicated hockey mom who spent many cold days cheering at the rink, fully embracing the experience. A passionate NHL fan, Hayley and her beloved Husband Troy traveled to Boston annually for the past five years to attend games. Her heart was with the New York Rangers, her favorite team.
She also had a great love for travel, and with every trip came the joy of adding a new pair of sneakers to her ever-growing collection. Despite her busy life, Hayley appreciated her quiet moments—especially relaxing baths with her favorite bath bombs.
Creative and social, Hayley loved getting together with her friends to paint, make ceramics, and explore other crafts. She had a deep affection for animals, and those who knew her were aware of her love for dogs. She leaves behind six beloved fur babies who will miss her dearly.
Hayley was predeceased by her grandmother, Florence (Hanlon) Hebert, with whom she was deeply attached to and spent a lot of time with.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the compassionate staff of 3BN Palliative Care. A special acknowledgment goes to nurses Cheyenne, Carolyn, and one of Hayley’s favorites, Kim. Heartfelt thanks also go to the Oncology team—Dr. Hari Ondiveeran, Dr. Sara Alsadig, and Dr. Jessica Hemmings—for their unwavering support during Hayley’s journey.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th, from 12:00–2:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 2:30 p.m.
For those wishing to honor Hayley’s memory, donations may be made to the local library, a place that reflects her love for learning and community.
