The family sadly announces the passing of Harry Edward Dempster, loving husband of the late Doris (Guitard) Dempster, which occurred on May 28, 2020 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Saint John on June 27, 1933 he was the son of the late Howard Bliss and Anna Elizabeth (Cameron) Dempster.
Harry was a pipe-fitter and a member of Local #325 retiring in 1993 after working for 35 years. He was an avid Blue Jays fan. He enjoyed his daily trips to the mall to join his friends for coffee. He was proud of his family and loved the time he spent with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
Harry is survived by his sons; Harry (Cindy), Albert (Sis), and Jack, daughters; Darlene (Archie) Leslie, Kitty Dempster, Sandra (Howard) Whitenect, Vicki (Mike) Stephen, 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Harry was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his wife and his parents he was predeceased by his son Henry, brothers; Howard, Donald and Andrew and his sisters; Margaret and Hazel.
Due to the current pandemic there will not be any public visitation or funeral service. A private family service followed by interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery will take place.
