Harold Ronald Blizzard

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Mr. Harold Ronald Blizzard, loving husband of 60 years  to Shirley Doreen Blizzard, which occurred on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. He was born May 17, 1930 to the late Percy Charles and Hazel (Burloc) Blizzard.

Harold worked at Iron Works for 38 years, retiring at the Saint John Dry Dock on September 8, 1995 where he made many lifelong friends along the way.  He always loved spending time at his summer camp in Wickham, New Brunswick and would never pass the opportunity to go.

Harold is survived by his loving wife Shirley and two cherished sons; Harold Ronald (Lenore) and David Charles (Cindy). He will be forever missed by his grandchildren; Kendal Blizzard, Zachary  Blizzard, Jacob Morton, Vanessa Morton and great grandson Jeremiah Morton.  Harold also leaves behind his sisters; Arlene Boudreau, Deanna (Jarvis) Ducey, Ruth Sonier, Barb Rushworth and Lois (Bill) Reid, numerous nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to acknowledge and give thanks to the nursing staff at Rocmaura Nursing Home for their kindness and care shown towards Harold in his final years.

In addition to his parents, Harold is predeceased by his daughter Deanna Lynn Huggard, brother Robert Blizzard and brother in-law’s Jim and John.

Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with Harold’s wishes, there will be no visitation and a private family service will take place at a later date.
