Gwen Marie Carmichael

It is with great sadness that the family of Gwen Marie Carmichael wish to announce her passing which occurred on September 10, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born in Saint John, December 15, 1959, she was the daughter of Jessie (Smith) Williston and the late Floyd Williston.

Besides her mother Jessie, she is survived by her daughters, Tara Williston (Guy) and Gina Carmichael (Steve), her brothers, Darrell Williston (Debbie) and Dwayne Williston (Anne), her grandchildren; Morgan (Stavros), Dreaden, Andrea, Knolan, Kingston, Briar, and Olivia, her special friend Troy Brigley, uncles, Dave Williston (Sandra) and Sydney Smith (Wanda), and several cousins, nieces and nephews, and her great nieces and nephews.

Along with her father Floyd, she was predeceased by her son Richard Cole.

She was a property manager for McAllister Place and Place Bathurst Mall before working with airport security in Bathurst and then Saint John.  She truly enjoyed baking and cooking and her artistic talents shone through her cake decorating skills.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424), with visiting from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Monday, September 15, 2025.  The funeral service will take place from the Fundy Chapel at 11:00am, Tuesday, September 16, 2025, with interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.  Remembrances made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
