Gordon Vincent Lewell

LEWELL, GORDON VINCENT:  It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gordon Vincent Lewell announce his passing at the Ridgewood Veterans Wing in Saint John, NB. On December 3, 2020, he passed from this life into Heaven, into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, whom he had faithfully served and loved.   Born in Saint John, Gordon was a son of the late Fred and Marg (Saunders) Lewell. He worked for 26 years in Advertising at the Telegraph Journal, and he developed an appreciation for refinishing antiques, which he enjoyed for approximately 15 years. Gordon’s interests were oil painting, watching baseball, fly fishing, and making puzzles. He was a devoted member of Kings Church.  Gordon will be greatly missed by his wife Jeanette Lewell (Denton); his sons: Robert and Betty –Ann (Ferguson) Lewell of Willow Grove, NB, Allan and Judy (Wingate) Lewell of Detroit, MI; his brother Doug Lewell of Norton, NB; his sisters: Barb Wagner of Halifax, NS and Connie Kelly of Woodstock, NB; his grandchildren: Crystal –Lynn (Lewell) and Christopher Gardner, Stephanie (Lewell) and Jordan Smith, Melissa Lewell, Amy (Lewell) and Patrick Clowater; and by his four great grandchildren: Melody, Jonah, Isaac, and Isaiah.   Gordon was predeceased by his parents and brother Jim Lewell. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB E2J 2G3. Donations to the Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer Society, or Gideons International Organization, would be appreciated by the family.
