Gloria Marie (Noel) Keary

After a courageous battle with Diabetes, it is with sadness but peace that we announce the passing of Gloria Marie (Noel) Keary, on July 30, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.  Gloria was born in Tracadie, NB on September 11, 1954, the beloved daughter to Marguerite (Burbridge) and the late Donat Noel and was the loving wife of 43 years to her husband, Robert Keary. 

Gloria was a homemaker all through her children’s growing up years and then ventured into the work force to work for various call centers in the city.  She was a quiet person, but she loved to sing karaoke.  She liked to play cards online, especially poker.  She loved holidays and any occasion that the family could all get together.  It was a very large family, so the get togethers were huge and full of fun.  Gloria was a wonderful cook, but she especially loved ordering in veal parmesan from a local restaurant, that she couldn’t get enough of.  Gloria was a giver.  She was very kind-hearted and compassionate.  Her family was her everything.  If you were part of it, you never questioned how unconditionally she loved you, you just knew.  To know her was to love her and she will be so deeply missed. 

Along with her husband and her mother, she is survived by her adored children, Jason (Jessica), Robbi (Crystal) and Jonathan (Brittany); 6 grandchildren, Darian, Jacob, Jaxon, Chayse, Molly and Tristan; brothers, Lawrence, Clifford, Rhèal, Elmer (Sandy) and Raymond (Suzanne) Noel; sisters, Brenda (Fernand) Vienneau, Lynda (Jean-Guy) Russell, Gisèle (Emilien) Noel, Joanne (Gary) Ford, Theresa (Larry) Coulton, Marie-line (Bruce) Richard, Nicole Noel and Maureen (Monique) Noel; god children, Debra, Daniel and Beckie; Aunt Rita Savoy and Uncle Robert Noel, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Jean-Guy Vienneau and her sister-in-law, Maureen Noel. 

Her family wish to extend their deepest and most heartfelt thanks to Dr. Corliss and the excellent and compassionate nurses and staff that make up 4CN at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  The exemplary care provided to Gloria by them during her stay brought us more comfort than you could ever know. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) where visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8pm.  A funeral liturgy will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 11am with interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  For those who wish, donations made in Gloria’s memory to the Kidney Foundation of New Brunswick, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Diabetes Canada or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
