Glendon Foster Bain

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glen Bain at the at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of 37 years, Marion. Stepfather to Kye Taylor (Jeanette) of Kingston, Ontario. Predeceased by Ashli Taylor, Toronto, ON.  Brother of the late John Bain of Sault Ste.Marie, ON.  He also leaves behind two grandchildren, sister in law Donna Bain, and his cousins and their families.

He had a long and interesting career in the Information Technology field with all of its evolving changes. In retirement he enjoyed several hobbies - geneology, geology, photography (which he excelled at), and travelling with Marion.

A special thank you to the staff at Seely Lodge Special Care Home for the attention, assistance and compassion Glen received during the time he spent in their care. He had some special angels there.

Thanks also to Dr. Winston Lee (ret) and Dr. Brian Ramrattan for their excellent care and kindness along this journey.  We are also grateful to the staff, Dr.’s and amazing nurses at the SJRH, 4B South for taking such good care of him in what turned out to be his last days.

In keeping with Glen’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Glen’s Life will be announced at a later date.

Donations in Glen’s memory may be made to Hospice Greater Saint John (Bobby’s Hospice), Salvation Army Saint John,  or a charity of the donor’s choice and would be appreciated.
