It is with broken hearts that the family of C. Gerald “Gerry” Williston, beloved husband of the late Cheryl Williston, announces his passing on September 23, 2025, at Bobby’s Hospice, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 11, 1959, he was the son of the late Clifford G. and Louise (Clarke) Williston.
Gerry was a hard worker who truly enjoyed what he did, spending many years as a motor technician with Source Atlantic. But the role he loved most was being a family man. Time with his children and grandchildren meant everything to him, and nothing made him happier than being surrounded by the people he loved. Outside of work and family, Gerry enjoyed computer games—he was especially an avid Battle Pirates player, with his online friends knowing him as G-Ghost (since he had such a particular fondness for ghost ships!).
Gerry will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Kayla (Mitchell) and Jillian; grandchildren Addison and Owen; siblings Wendy (Mike), Rodney, Wayne, Kevin (Brenda) and Albert; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Clifford and Louise, and his wife Cheryl.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB (506-646-2424) with a graveside service to be held at Fernhill Cemetery, on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 2PM. Donations in memory of Gerry can be made to Bobby’s Hospice, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
