Georgina Vienneau Obituary

With broken hearts, the family of Georgina Mary Vienneau, devoted wife of 70 years to Raymond Vienneau, announces her peaceful passing on November 24, 2025, at Shannex Tucker Hall, surrounded by her loving husband and children. Born in Saint John, NB, on October 13, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Lottie (Killam) Gibbon.

Georgina was a bright and steady light in the lives of all who knew her—an inspiration whose warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit filled every room she entered. Her greatest joy was her family. She cherished her five children, and she was profoundly proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, grateful to see each generation grow in love and faith. Above all, she was a mother who nurtured, protected, and cared for her family with unwavering devotion.

Georgina often said that “God gave me love when He gave me Raymond,” and the love they shared was the foundation of her life. Her faith guided her every step; her life itself was a prayer—offered in song, in service, and in the way she embraced others with open arms. Her home was a place of welcome, where no visitor ever left without feeling loved… or without being offered something to eat.

One of the proudest moments of her life was receiving Communion from Pope John Paul II, a memory she held close to her heart. Georgina also had a lifelong passion for music, blessed with a beautiful singing voice that her family will forever treasure. Her many endearing sayings—each one uniquely hers—will continue to bring smiles and comfort in the years ahead.

Georgina will be deeply missed by her beloved husband Raymond; her children Raymond Vienneau (Cindy), Sandra Robichaud (Norman), Karen French (Brian), Shawn Vienneau (Lynn), and Giselle Vienneau (Dale); her grandchildren Anthony (Colleen), Wesley (Rochelle), Katlynn (Brandyn), Brandon (Chelsea), Danielle (Justin), Evan (James), Eric (Simone), Lindsay (Colin), and Tyler (Katelyn); and her great-grandchildren Annabelle, Wesley Jr., William, and Austin. She is also survived by her brothers Donnie Gibbon and Bobby Gibbon, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Gordon, Buddy, Leonard, Buster and Wayne, and her sisters Dorothy, Shirley, Florence, Deanna, Martina, and Joy.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff, doctors, and nurses at Shannex Howe Hall and Tucker Hall (May Flower) for their compassionate care. They also extend heartfelt thanks to Georgina’s dear friend Alice Seale for her friendship and support, and to the Parlee Girls, who will always hold a special place in their hearts for the love they shared with Georgina.
