Gary Wayne Walsh

It is with sadness that the family of Gary Walsh announces his passing, which occurred at home on November 29, 2022. Gary was born in Saint John on April 10, 1952; a son of the late Percy and Grace (Colpitts) Walsh. During his working years he held many jobs, including Speedy Auto Glass and Centracare. Gary was an avid sports fan; his favourite teams were the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins. Despite the fact that he never drove, Gary knew the city inside and out because he walked everywhere, and knew many people in the city. He is survived by his sisters Debbie (Stephen) Doukos of Saint John and Sherry (Roy) Field of BC, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Along with his parents, Gary was pre-deceased by his sisters Heather Swan and Linda McIntrye. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). Although there will be no visitation, a graveside service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Wednesday, December 7th at 1:00 p.m. Following the interment, a reception will be held at 11 Casey Crescent. For those who wish, remembrances to Romero House would be appreciated by the family.
