Gary Shane Murphy

The family of Gary Shane Murphy sorrowfully announce his passing which occurred on February 11, 2025, at his residence.  Born in Saint John, NB on April 27, 1957, he was the son of the late Robert and Joan (Costello) Murphy.

He was employed in the construction supply industry throughout his career including Beaver Lumber, Kents Building Supplies and the Eddy Group.

He was competitive by nature and enjoyed his dart league, singing karaoke and he loved to travel.  He made Tim Horton’s a part of his daily routine where he would catch up with his crew.

He is survived by his son Jeff and his wife Andrea, his grandchildren, Landyn and Alyvia, his former wife Darlene, his sisters, Judy Barton and Susan Walker (Brian), along with cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Wendy Ebbett.

Following cremation, his family will receive relatives and friends, at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506)646-2424, from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Friday, February 14, 2025.  The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in the Fundy Chapel at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 15, 2025, followed by interment at Fernhill Cemetery.  Remembrances and to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
