It is with immense sadness that the family of Gary Joseph Henry announce his passing on March 31, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on December 10, 1963, he was a son of the late Albert and Appolene (nee. Doiron) Henry.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Holly (nee. Trifts) Henry; his 4 sons: Stephen Henry (Candace), Sean Henry (Amanda), Scott Henry (Kristen), and Spencer Henry; chosen daughter Miranda Trifts Van-Duzee (Scott); grandchildren: Zachary, Carter, Cody, Kinley, Karlie, and Hudson; siblings: Donald Henry (Aurea), Norman Henry (Christine), Leo Henry (Theresa), Alma Bezeau, Mary Bezeau (Peter), Shirley Sewell (Darrell), and Jeannie Dupuis (Stephen); in-laws: David Trifts (Ann), Robin Trifts (Rose), and Susan Shephard (Eric), Kelly Trifts (Rudy); special nephew Michael Henry; best friend Renato Bertolini; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Besides his parents, Gary was predeceased by his cherished granddaughter Brooklyn Henry who he affectionately called “Sweet Pea”, brothers Raymond and Laurie Henry, sister Dora Robichaud, mother-in-law Lauretta Trifts, sister-in-law Hazel Henry, and brothers-in-law Cyrille Bezeau and Elmer Bezeau.
For over 40 years, Gary worked as a carpenter and was a member of Local 1386 Union, a trade he took immense pride in.
Outside of work, Gary found joy in the outdoors. He enjoyed going fishing, exploring trails, whether in his truck or on his 4-wheeler, and hitting the open road riding his motorcycle. Above all else, Gary was a proud and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished every moment spent with his family and held a very special place in his heart for his grandchildren. Gary’s love also extended to all animals, especially dogs (Lexi and Oliver), whom he always enjoyed being around.

Visitation for Gary will be on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A funeral liturgy will take place on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 10:00 AM. Directly following the service, the family invites you to join them for a time of remembrance and refreshments in the Fundy Reception Center.
