Gary E. Hamilton

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Gary Edwin Hamilton, which occurred at his home on Sunday, June 8th, 2025, surrounded by family.  Born on December 21st, 1943, in Saint John, he is the son of the late Dean and Susan (Douglas) Hamilton.  Gary was born and raised in Saint John, NB where he served 8 years in our Canadian Military, and later became a truck driver.  He drove for many companies & brokers over the years, where he retired from Sunbury Transport in 2023.  He passed the keys to his daughter Tammy.  His life changed once he came to Faith in Christ.  His Faith in Jesus Christ was evident, never apologetic, praying that all who he talked and met with, would come to know the love of Christ that’s available for everyone that chooses him (Christ) as their Lord & Savior.  His family take great comfort knowing that his Faith has now become sight.  He’s in the presence of Jesus Christ and his loved ones who’ve gone before him. 

Gary is survived by his daughters Tammy Sousa (Joe) of Lower Greenwich, NB, Donna Hamilton (Dan) of Ontario, Susan Hamilton of Ontario; sons Stephen Connolly of Ontario, Dean Baldock of Newfoundland, Dale Baldock of Ontario; sisters Carma Patterson of Ontario, Wanda Porter (Allan) of Lower Greenwich, NB; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.  Along with his parents, Gary was predeceased by his wife Yvonne, sister Lorna and daughter-in-law Wendi. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Wednesday, June 11th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Funeral Service will take place in the Fundy chapel on Thursday, June 12th at 2 p.m.  Those unable to attend, may watch the service live, by clicking on the following link: https://event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=a7a11220-95d3-427a-b6cd-3a4e883499ca    Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.  Donations in memory of Gary, may be made to Brown’s Flat Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
