Gail Teed Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Gail Marie Teed announces her passing, which occurred on June 13, 2025, at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Saint John on February 20, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Florence (Ware) Clark.

Gail was an amateur genealogist and avid runner who was well-known in the local running community. She and her brother Billy travelled all over the province to compete in road races with their many friends in the KV Road Runners, Valley Runners, and the Saint John Track Club. Gail loved birthday parties and barbecues, but most of all, she loved adventures, great and small. Whether it was a jaunt to Fredericton to go to the provincial archives, a bike trip to Sussex, or a road trip to Alberta, Ontario, New Hampshire, or New York, Gail loved the open road and all the truck stop meals and various sights she could visit. She was also known for her love of country music (especially Charlie Pride and The Highwaymen), Gordon Lightfoot on LP (on repeat!), Mama burgers with cheese, crossword puzzles, and her lifelong interest in her ancestry.

Gail will always be remembered by her children Krista Bietz-Bielecki (Adam) of Bloomfield; April Bietz of Saint John; Abigail “Abby” Teed-Walton (David) of Golden Grove; Charles “Chuck” Teed (Sarah) of Saint John; stepdaughters Sharon Fillmore (Bruce) of Fredericton; Tanya MacKenzie (Neil) of Saint John; and Christa Beetz (Erwin) of Germany; brother Edwin (Theays) Boyce of Alberta; sister Judith Galbraith of Grand Bay; adoptive brother James “Jimmy” Parlee (Sybil) of Saint John; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Gail was predeceased by her first husband, Erich Bietz; her second husband, George “Mutt” Teed; her son, Joseph “Joey” Bietz; her sister, Muriel Martin; and her very special brother, William “Billy” Anderson, with whom she shared countless adventures.

A special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Elm House for their compassion and care during Gail's final days.
