It is with heavy hearts that we announce the expected yet regrettable passing of Gail Madeline (Goguen) O’Neill on September 15, 2023, at Bobby’s Hospice with her loving family by her side. She was born in Saint John on February 21, 1962, to the late Laurie and Jeanette (Martin) Goguen.
Gail worked at the Great Canadian Dollar Store for over 13 years, eventually working her way up to Assistant Manager. She was a quiet woman who liked to observe those around her, but if there was a joke to be a part of, she was in. She liked crocheting, hummingbirds, cats, and had a number of hobbies. She was a very caring and genuine woman, who adored her grandchildren above all else. Gail was a lovely woman who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her son, Terry (Amanda); daughters, Nicole and Jodie (Chris Doucette); her adored 9 grandchildren, Abigail, Terry, Kaidense, Jacob, Hailey, Kaylee, Leah, Jayden and Laurie; her sister, Laurie (Russell) MacPherson; her two nieces and several cousins and her much loved friends, manager Wendy and coworkers, Sarah and Connie. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her cousin, Gary Goguen; her aunt, May Goguen and her nephew, Tommy Mooney.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with her wishes, no services will take place. For those who wish, memorial donations in her memory to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
