Gail Hall Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Gail Anne Hall announces her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 25, 2025. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles Homer and Lauretta Moyer.

Gail is lovingly remembered by her daughter Gillian Hazelwood (Bruce Gillis); grandchildren Zachery Hazelwood and Rachel Hazelwood; brother Jimmy Moyer (Yvonne); sisters Lauretta Harris (the late Bing), Wendy Taylor (Bert), and Susan McBeath (Bill); and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Moyer (the late Wanda).

Gail was a vibrant, kind woman with a generous spirit. She worked as a receptionist for over 30 years at NSCC in Middleton, NS, where she enjoyed helping students prepare for their futures.

Gail cared deeply for her family and friends and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She loved going to dances with her lifelong friend, Joanne Daley, and created cherished memories with her daughter by teaching her how to jive in their living room. Gail never forgot a birthday or holiday; you could always be sure to receive a card covered in stickers with a scratch ticket inside. Gail had a gift for conversation with stories that turned into hours of laughter and heartfelt talks.

A faithful Catholic throughout her life, she found deep comfort in prayer, the sacraments, and the promise of eternal life. Gail’s devotion to God was reflected in the love and kindness she showed to others. Gail lovingly took care of her mother during the final years of her life; their bond was strong and filled with special memories. Gail extended her instinct to care to others in the senior complex by helping with housework and offering companionship to those in need.

In her later years, Gail faced various health challenges, but she did so with quiet strength and without complaint. Always passing on words of wisdom to not sweat the small stuff and to be thankful for the good things in life.

Though her journey here has ended, her love and laughter will echo in our hearts forever.
