It is with appreciation of a life well-lived and gratitude for many years of memories, that the family of G. Frederick Stackhouse announces his passing which occurred on December 6, 2022, at Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing. Born September 16, 1916, in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late George and Loretta (Cameron) Stackhouse.
Fred was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces and served as a bandsman in World War II. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Band for over 69 years and enjoyed playing the Trumpet.
He enjoyed working over 35 years at the French Pastry Shop. Fred had a passion for baking and had a special talent for creating unique pastries and cakes. He spent time playing baseball and enjoyed watching the Montreal Expos. Fred was an avid outdoorsman, he loved skating, playing golf and fishing.
He is survived by his special sons Brian Prosser (Cathy) and Darryl Prosser along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Marion Davis, special son Todd Prosser and brothers Ronald and Harold.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home on Friday, December 9, 2022, between 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. His Funeral Service will follow in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Cedar Hill Ext Cemetery.
