Frank Nice Obituary

It is with deep sadness that the family of Frank Malcolm Nice announce his passing on November 28, 2025, at the age of 76.

Born in Saint John, NB on June 10, 1949, Frank was the devoted husband of 57 years to his loving wife, Sharron Nice. He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Beatrice (Elliott) Nice; his brothers, William and Fred; and by his nephews, Frankie Nice and Dale Hooper.

Frank is survived by his three daughters, who were his pride and joy: Kimberley (Daniel) Gillmor, Kelly Nice (Eric McDonough), and Christa (Sean) Bosse. He is also survived by his sisters, Joan Meating and Verna Hooper; his cherished grandchildren Malcolm, Newton, Marilyn, Mackenzie, and Mitchell; and his great-grandchildren Charlotte and Octavia. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Frank built a long and respected career as a linesman, beginning with Saint John Energy before moving on to B.C. Power. He later founded his own company, Northern Plains Line Construction. After returning home, he concluded his career with N.B. Power; however, he continued to lend his skills as needed, participating in relief efforts to assist neighbouring communities across the border.

What brought Frank the greatest joy in life was his family. He was always willing to show up, lend a hand, and be there for each of them—often with his not-so-quiet support, steady presence, and unmistakable sense of humour. Frank loved to tease, and he especially enjoyed the time he spent at the ballfield watching his grandson Mitchell play.

Many of his happiest days were spent at the family camp in Flume Ridge—a place he loved to share. Frank always wanted people to come, visit, and enjoy it with him. It was there that he made countless memories and formed many lifelong friendships. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace in hunting, tinkering, and simply being in the fresh air.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to the M.S. Society or the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
