It is with broken hearts that the family of Francis "Frank" Gerald Casey announces his unexpected passing at his home June 29, 2026. Born in Saint John, NB, on February 22, 1950, he was the son of the late Mary Casey.
Frank will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Mindy (née Lee) Casey, his two cherished daughters, Cindy and Michelle (Sean); his cherished grandsons, Brett Munn (Christine) and Brandon MacKay (Alexandria); his four precious great-grandchildren, Hudson, Hannah, and Jack MacKay, Aubrey Munn; his sister, Gloria Casey-Harley; mother and father in law Robert and Carol Lee; several nieces and nephews; brother and sister in law and his beloved fur babies, Jasper and Lily. Besides his mother, Frank was predeceased by his brother Lawrence Leger of Moncton, NB.
Frank was someone with an unforgettable personality. He loved and cared for his family and friends fiercely, but it was his dry sense of humour that left the greatest impression. Frank loved listening to music and dancing around the house. Two of his favourite songs were ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon and ‘My Way’, as performed by Elvis Presley. In his younger years, Frank enjoyed playing baseball, and from that time on remained a devoted New York Yankees fan. He also loved watching hockey and cheering on his favourite team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. Frank worked as a bus driver for the City of Saint John for 44 years, where he made many lifelong friends. While he enjoyed driving city buses, his favourite vehicle was undoubtedly his Corvette. He kept it polished and pristine—just like his shoes.
Frank was a member of the Corvette Club and enjoyed outings, and road trips. He also loved travelling no matter the destination, he always made the most of every trip. Frank was truly one of a kind, and his presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. He loved his family unconditionally, and nothing brought him greater joy than being surrounded by those he cherished the most. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
