Francois Clarence Duguay

It is with broken hearts that the family of Francois C. Duguay, beloved husband of Edith (Pontbriand) Duguay, announces his peaceful passing on July 3, 2026, at home, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Saint-Raphael-sur-Mer, NB, on March 30, 1956, he was the son of the late Clarence and Angelina (Bertin) Duguay.

Francois spent many years as a labourer, most notably working 11 years with Jacob Catalytic. In his off time, he loved playing golf and poker. In his younger years, he loved taking his boys to the Hammond River to fish.

Francois is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Edith; sons: Jason Duguay (Kim), and Kevin Duguay; grandchildren: Aidan, and Madison; siblings: Alphee Duguay, Lucie Ouellette (Nicolas), and Melanie Duguay; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Francois was predeceased by his sister Jackie Duguay.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB (506-646-2424), with visitation on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 12PM – 2PM. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 2PM. The family will gather at the funeral home at 1PM and leave in procession to the cemetery at 1:40PM. For those who wish, donations in memory of Francois to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by family.
