Francis Joseph Goguen

It is with heavy hearts the family of Francis Joseph Goguen announce his passing on March 21, 2023, at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Rogersville, NB, on March 16, 1939, he was a son of the late Oliver and Alice (Bernard) Goguen. Francis spent many years as a finish carpenter working for Blair Construction, Saint John Dry Wall, and for himself.

Francis is survived by his loving wife, Bernice (Gallant); sons Patrick (Katherine), Philip (Krista), Kenneth, and Mark; daughter Pam Burgess (Alan); brothers Reginald and Romeo Goguen; sisters Leona LeBlanc, Carmel Steen, and Yolande Mullin; as well as ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Omer, Roderick, and Baby Francis Goguen, as well as his sister Geneva Richard.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at 10:00 AM. For those who wish, donations in Francis’ memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Lung Association, or Bobby’s Hospice.
