Frances "Joy" Lockhart

It is with broken hearts the family of Frances Joyce “Joy" Lockhart announce her passing on Saturday, December 20th, 2025 at the age of 93.  Beloved wife of the late Walter Percy Lockhart.  Joy's loss will be deeply felt by her children Gary (Josie) Lockhart, Beverly Lockhart, Mark (Sandra) Lockhart and Leigha (Ron) Capson, by her grandchildren Doug (Marsha), Rob (Lindsay), Joey (Angela), Luke, Jason (Gloria), Ernie, Vanessa, Alex (Sarah), Bryant (Lauren) and by her 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.  Joy is predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Goose and Lois Thomas.  

Joy enjoyed gardening, shopping and had a flare for decorating. Her laughter was infectious and her smile brightened every room. She loved life, had a heart for people and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Above all, her service and love for her Lord was evident to those who were blessed to know her and she will be missed by all.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).  Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 27th from 12-2 PM.  A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 PM.  Interment at a later date.  For those who wish, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the Saint John Street Team would be appreciated.
