Frances Gamble

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Frances Gamble, loving wife of the late Robert Gamble, which occurred on Monday April 26, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1933 in Whites Mills, NB she was the daughter of the late Leigh and Helen (Ganong) Miller.

Frances was very involved in her community as a member of the Peninsula Pearls, Summerville Quilting Group and the Summerville Card Parties.

She is survived by her children Debbie Touchie, Gary (Judy) Gamble and Wally Gamble all of Summerville, Gord (Kim) Gamble of Dartmouth, NS and Patti (Glenn) Driscoll of Saint John; brother Kenneth Miller of Clifton Royal; sister Betty (Douglas) Donovan of Quispamsis; grandchildren Sara, Adam, Tony, Dave, Michelle, Ben, Allan, Daniel, Leah, Gillian, Scott, Kate, Jeff and Nicole; great-grandchildren Aiden, Cohen, Ewan, Nick, Lily, Sophie, Jacob, Maeve and Connor; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother Douglas Miller and sisters-in-law Barbara and Anita.

Special thanks to Dr. Bewick for his care over the last number of years and to the wonderful staff at the Chateau Champlain.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. The family would appreciate donations in her memory made to the Summerville United Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
