Eursal Keith Murray

It is with broken hearts, the family of Eursal Keith Murray, loving husband of Marjorie (Hamilton) Murray, wish to announce his passing which occurred on October 1, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born in Robinsonville, NB, on March 18, 1940, he was the son of the late Arnold and Vivian (Firth) Murray. 

He started his working life serving with the Canadian Armed Forces in Europe.  He was a machinist with Irving Paper until his retirement. 

Eursal loved being active outside, especially walking in the early morning hours across town, puttering in the yard with his tools, where he could build just about anything. He loved the Fall colors and drove across the province with Marjorie every fall to visit family in northern New Brunswick.    He always lent a helping hand to those in need. His family and friends would often receive letters including words of wisdom, encouragement, and love- as well as money.  He was a life-long learner, he was a funny man and always had a sharp wit.  Most important was Marjorie, Tanya and Tracey, and his grandchildren, which he truly cherished with all his heart.

Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his daughters, Tanya and Tracey (Shanti), his grandchildren, Tara, Dylan and Erin, and his great-granddaughter Mia.  Also surviving are his brothers, Ken (Barbara) and Nicholas (Betty), sisters, Nancy Jones and Gwen Claridge, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Roy, Gary, Wayne and Emmerson, and sister Edith.

Visitation will take place at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424), from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Monday, October 6, 2025.  The funeral service will take place at the Fundy Chapel at 11:00am on Tuesday.  Interment at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
