Ernest Graham Slattery

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ernest Graham Slattery on December 14, 2025, at his home with the love of his family surrounding him.  He was born on October 31, 1968, in Saint John, NB, to the late Ernest and Ida (Durley) Mosher). 

Ernest began his career with Horizon in the cafeteria working in food services, until that was outsourced, but he stayed on at the hospital and became a porter, which served his sense of humor well, as he would get to talk to so many people during the day.  He worked there for 23 years.  He was a very hard worker and was nice and caring, although when he wanted to be he could also be very outspoken.  In his spare time, he liked spending time outdoors, whether fishing, or biking on his ATV or his motorcycle.  He loved to listen to Rock and Roll music, the heavier the better.  He was a momma’s boy through and through and when she passed away, he was never quite the same.  Thankfully, he had his small circle of friends and his beloved son to help him stay grounded through the hard times.  He was close to his family and loved his nieces and nephews very much, even though he was a homebody.  He will be deeply missed. 

In addition to his son, Brody; he is survived by his sisters, Kim Malaknejadorangi (Iraj) and Patricia Slattery; as well as his many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents and his infant brother, Kevin.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424).  In keeping with Ernest’s wishes, cremation will occur.  Visitation will be held from 10-11am on Thursday, December 18, 2025, with a funeral service to immediately follow from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel.  Ernest will be placed to rest with his beloved Mother, Ida, in St. Joseph’s Cemetery following the service.  For those who wish, memorial donations in his memory to the Diabetes Foundation, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
