Ernest Sambles

It is with sadness yet appreciation for a life well lived, that the family of Ernest Sambles announces his passing that occurred on Friday January 18, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1927 in Blissville, NB, he was the son of the late Edna Sambles. Ernest was employed by ILA as a ship liner for many years retiring in 1995. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed camping with his family at T & T and Woolastook campgrounds.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis (Greer) Sambles; his sons Kevin (Roslyn) of Fredericton, Randy (Julie) of Guelph, ON and David (Mary) of Garnett Settlement; grandchildren Brandon, Jennifer (Marc), Bradley, Emily (Chris), Chase, Nevaeh and Noah; great grandsons Tyler, Michael and Jaxon; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road on Tuesday January 22, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday January 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
